    5,000 People Dump Shoes In Front Of Nike Headquarters
    Approximately 5,000 people came to Nike world headquarters to dispose of their shoes – a protest apparently spurred by the company’s decision to hire former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for their 2018 Just Do It ad campaign.
    Kaepernick made millions of Americans angry when he began kneeling during the National Anthem. Kaepernick defended his actions by saying that he was protesting a racist country that “don’t give a **** about” him.
    There were a small number of counter-protesters, but they were outnumbered by those who were demonstrating against Nike by at least 4 to 1.
    A Nike spokeswoman said “no comment” when asked about the pile of shoes being dumped in front of their headquarters.
